Garden Visits 2022

Garden Visit for Garden Club members, 24th August 2022, 6.30pm

We would like you to come along on this private visit to Road and Terry Clifford's slightly quirky, beautiful garden in the Slad Valley.

In 1992 Rod and Terry and their two small children moved to what was then a bungalow on an acre of steeply sloping wilderness. They had no money but certainly had vision and creativity and, through hard work and ingenuity, have created an amazing home and garden. The garden rises up towards the house, on up to Rod's cidery and beyond to Firth Wood. Along the way they have created rooms and terraces, full of gorgeous planting and wonderful artefacts gathered from auctions, reclamation yards and skips!

The garden is only an 8 minute drive from Painswick. Please arrange car sharing to get there, parking is available on the grass verge opposite.

The cost is £6 per person, this will include teas and a short talk by Rod on his cider making, followed by cider tasting.

If you would like to join us on this visit please bring the £6 to the next meeting on Wednesday 13th July. If you are unable to attend the July meeting but would like to take part in the visit, please contact
